R-MWCs location offers you a wide variety of off-campus
activities. So on the off-chance that you run out of things
to do on campus (like thats going to happen), or you
need to escape the books for a while, youll find plenty
of adventures in Lynchburg and the surrounding area.
On just about any given day, you can:

Hike the Appalachian Trail

Mountain bike in the Appomattox-Buckingham State Forest

Swim at Smith Mountain Lake

Take a scenic drive up the Blue Ridge Parkway

Kayak (or canoe) on the James River

On Fridays and Saturdays, you can catch the
Lynchburg/R-MWC shopping shuttle and go to various
destinations, including Wal-Mart, Target, River Ridge
Mall, and the Dollar Theatre. The shuttle is free to
R-MWC students.
