Description: Police reported multiple complaints received by motorists about a vehicle parked in front of the College. Identified as a resident's car. Unable to locate the owner. Vehicle was towed by police due to creation of a hazard.

Description: A staff member reported that a suspicious man was in front of Main Hall asking information of passersby. Campus security officers assisted the man, determining that he was lost. Lynchburg police were contacted and responded. The man was escorted to his home.

Description: Resident reported that while riding a bicycle on Rivermont, passengers in a passing vehicle shouted obscenities. Later, the vehicle attempted to hit him. The rider was not injured.

Description: Campus Security Officers responded to a fire alarm on the 4th floor of Main Hall. Upon arrival, officers observed that a chemical fire extinguisher had been maliciously discharged in the hallway.

Description: Reports from a Quinlan resident and an Athletics staff member stated that an unidentified male was seen acting suspiciously in the area.

Update: Campus Security Officers determined that multiple thefts occurred from the new Athletic field and from the parking lot of the Maier Museum. Lynchburg police responded and are investigating. The male was not located. - updated 11/19/2009

Description: Resident reported that a glass had been broken in the Bell Hall rear entry door. Buildings and Grounds secured the opening until further repairs could be made.

Description: Residents reported witnessing an unknown vehicle strike another resident's car in the Bell parking lot. A license plate number of the suspect's was provided.

Description: A resident reported that an unknown male had entered the residence hall. Campus security and police are investigating. A campus shelter-in-place directive was issued to the community as a protective measure. The directive was lifted by late morning.

Description: The Bell Hall fire alarm was activated due to the malicious use of a fire extinguisher. No fire was present, though someone had activated the extinguisher without cause.

Description: Campus Security Officers spotted a male on campus matching a similar description from previous hall incidents earlier in the month. Officers approached and questioned the man. The information obtained revealed that the male was not affiliated with the College in any way. He was asked to leave the property and not return. Follow up with police was initiated by Campus Security.
