Exploring the interdependence of women and their enduring friendships with humor and understanding, this dramatic comedy parallels the lives of four girls during the Victorian period and four friends living in the present. One of the contemporary characters has surprised her friends with a play she was written based on her great great-grandmotherís "quarterly" journal. As the reading of the play gets underway, the women from the past join the women of the present on stage, representing the two sets of dramatic action simultaneously.
Von Rosenvinge, who is currently head drama teacher at Hopkinton High School in Hopkinton, Mass., began writing the play in 1997. It was re-written in March 2001 and was presented as a full production in Nov. 2001 as part of her masterís degree in theatre education thesis project at Emerson College in Boston.
