On June 2, a group of Randolph College students, staff and professors embarked on a 15-day journey to Ecuador to study healing and medicinal practices of the Quichuas (Indigenous People) in the Andes.

2006-07 Quillian Scholar Mario Incayawar, an Ecuadorian anthropologist and medical doctor who grew up in the Quichua community, is accompanying the group.

Professor of Economics John Abell, who last summer blogged from Central America while researching the Mayan culture, is chronicling the group's journey on his blog.
