Religious scholar and bestselling author delivers annual Davidson Lecture

Bart D. Ehrman, author of the New York Times bestseller Misquoting Jesus, will discuss "Lost Gospels and Rediscovered Christianities" on Thursday, Feb. 1, at 7:30 p.m. in the Wimberly Recital Hall, Presser Hall at Randolph-Macon Woman’s College.
Ehrman is professor and chair of the department of religious studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
In addition to Misquoting Jesus, he is the author of Truth and Fiction in the DaVinci Code, The Lost Gospel of Judas Iscariot, and, most recently, Peter, Paul, and Mary Magdalene: The Followers of Jesus in History and Legend.
Publishing extensively in the fields of New Testament and Early Christianity, Ehrman has written or edited 19 books and written numerous articles. He was recently heard on "Fresh Air" on NPR with Terry Gross.
The lecture is sponsored through the Clara Willoughby Davidson Lecture Fund and is open free to the public.
