Randolph-Macon Woman’s College’s Touch of Harmony jazz group will hold its winter recital on Dec. 5 at 8 p.m. in Wimberley Recital Hall.
The vocal jazz ensemble will perform a program of jazz and traditional Christmas favorites. The group, comprised of six students, works without a conductor and features a different style of performance than that normally seen in Lynchburg, said Randall Speer, R-MWC music professor.
"It’s usually fairly informal and not a traditional concert," Speer said. "The music is fun and certainly helps with the holiday spirit. This is a good opportunity for the community to experience jazz with a small, vocal ensemble, rather than a jazz band."
The performance is free and open to the public.
