LYNCHBURG – On March 25, R-MWC’s Student Government will host the first annual Founder’s Day Black and White Affair from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. on all three floors of the Student Center. There will be music, dancing, and fondue for all students.

Students are being encouraged to wear black and white and show their style during the event.

Many years ago, the Founder’s Day Ball was the “big” formal event of the spring semester, much like the Fall Formal during first semester. Now, inspired by student requests for an annual event in the second semester, SG is planning to bring back this old tradition by adding a modern twist.

Founder’s Day is an annual tradition held each March to honor the founder and first president of the College, William Waugh Smith.
