LYNCHBURG – R-MWC students and faculty recently had the opportunity to screen the film, Invisible Children.

The documentary follows the lives of young Ugandan children as they are forced to become soldiers in a rebel army. Three young filmmakers from California produced the picture and have since founded a non-profit organization to help these children. They are currently sponsoring a national tour to show their film at high schools, colleges, and other public venues across the United States. The film addresses sociological, political, economic, health, and global issues.

The bus tour stopped at R-MWC on Feb. 27, 2006. The showing began at 8 p.m. and was sponsored by the R-MWC Student Global AIDS Campaign.
