LYNCHBURG – The Three Inspirational Tenors will perform a concert Jan. 28 as part of R-MWC’s Black History Celebration.

The concert, scheduled for 5 p.m. in Smith Hall Theatre, is co-sponsored by the Gamma Nu Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.

The Three Inspirational Tenors began in 1995 when three lifelong friends from Atlanta joined together to create their own version of the world renowned Three Tenors with a focus on Christian and message-oriented secular music.

The group has performed throughout Atlanta and was invited to tour Italy with the Saint John Neumann Choir of Lilburn, Georgia for a series of services and concerts. They were featured in mass celebrations at the Basilica of St. Mark in Venice, and the great Basilica of St. Peter in Rome during the Sunday High Mass. They brought an Italian audience to its feet after their renditions at a Vatican sponsored concert at the beautiful Church of St. Ignatius. Later, they were honored to sing before the Pope John Paul II during a Papal Audience.

Reserved seats will cost $25 and $30. General Admission tickets will cost $20, and students are $5.
