LYNCHBURG— A shuttle service introduced this year has become so popular, R-MWC and GLTC have expanded service.
At the beginning of the semester, the College began running shuttle buses to various shopping, dining and entertainment venues around the city. The service became so popular among students that the College approached the city to find a better solution.
The College worked with the city to arrange city bus service free of charge to students, faculty and staff from the College on the weekends. The routes, which are listed on the student-portal, encompass everything from major shopping centers to movie theaters and the downtown area.
“Student response has been very positive,” said Sarah Swager, dean of students. “Student feedback has been instrumental in helping us to make adjustments in the schedule that suit their needs.”
