LYNCHBURG, Va. – Effective January 5, Robert C. Norfleet assumed his duties as Randolph-Macon Woman's College's new Vice President for Finance and Administration and Treasurer of the College. He replaces former vice-president Bill Burns, who retired at the end of 2003.
Prior to coming to R-MWC, Norfleet served as Vice President for Business and Finance at Davidson College from 1995-2003, and in that same capacity for eleven years at Union Theological Seminary. In addition to this experience, his higher education background also includes work in admissions, financial aid, career counseling, and religious life. He entered the field as a faculty member at Lees-McRae College in North Carolina in 1976.
Founded in 1891, Randolph--Macon Woman's College is a highly selective undergraduate liberal arts college of 780 women with a distinguished history of establishing global connections through international education. The College was recently honored by NAFSA: Association for International Educators for the exemplary globalization of our campus, and has been recognized by U. S. News & World Report as one of the top ten national liberal arts colleges for our percentage of international students.
