LYNCHBURG, Va. — The Theatre Department at Randolph-Macon Woman's College will present their spring production, William Shakespeare's As You Like It, Thursday, March 27th through the 31st in the Thoresen Theatre on the third floor of the Leggett Building on R-MWC campus. Performances will be offered at 7:30PM on March 27th, 28th, 29th and 31st, and 2:00PM on Sunday, March 30th. Admission is $10 general, $7 for R-MWC faculty, staff and senior citizens, and $4 for all students.

Arguably the most romantic of all of Shakespeare's comedies, As You Like It was originally written and performed for an all-male cast, the standard in Shakespeare's time. R-MWC's production turns that convention on its head with a 16-member, all female cast. In another interesting variation, R-MWC's version of the classic is set in the mountains of Appalachia and features traditional Appalachian music.
