Randolph College Presents Talk By Holocaust Survivor

Gerda Klein will offer free lecture December 1

LYNCHBURG—Gerda Wiessman Klein will present “One Survivor Remembers” December 1 at 7:30 p.m. in Smith Hall Theatre.

Klein, a holocaust survivor, author, and human rights activist, was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2011 by President Barack Obama. The Medal of Freedom is the nation’s highest civilian honor. Klein’s autobiography, All But My Life, is the subject of the academy award-winning documentary “One Survivor Remembers.” Klein and her late husband founded the Gerda and Kurt Klein Foundation, and she continues to work to promote tolerance, respect, and empowerment of students throughout the world. The event is co-sponsored by Randolph College and The Holocaust Education Foundation of Central Virginia.

A showing of the film, One Survivor Remembers, will be held Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. at Riverviews.
