LYCNHBURG—Randolph College will host Ziauddin Sardar, a leading international scholar, Nov. 9 at 7:30 p.m. in Wimberly Recital Hall.
Sardar, who will present Randolph’s 2011 Philip Thayer Memorial Lecture, will address politics, reform and the “Arab Spring” during his lecture on “The State of Islam.”
Sardar, of London, is the author of more than 45 books, including two international bestsellers. He has also produced documentaries for BBC, chairs the Muslim Institute, teaching in The City University, and regularly contributes to the New Statesman and The Guardian.
The lecture is free and open to the public.
