
Emily Hanson '09 holds special talk and tour of her exhibit, Women and the Maier: Creating Herstory.

LYNCHBURG–Emily Hanson ’09 will offer a special talk and tour of a special exhibit at the Maier of Art at Randolph College September 11 from 3-4 p.m.
Hanson, who is currently a graduate student at Washington University, is the curator of the exhibit, Women and the Maier: Creating Herstory. The exhibit highlights some of the important female artists represented in the College’s permanent collection of art. A few artists featured include Louise Bourgeois, Elizabeth Murray, and Nancy Spero. Hanson’s exhibit also honors Randolph College’s distinguished history as Randolph-Macon Woman’s College.
This event, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by Maier Museum of Art members, and R-MWC alumnae, Howard Perkinson Lawrence ’40 and Nancy Forsyth Walker ’98.
