David Verkin to Offer Insight on New Media

LYNCHBURG – David Verklin, author of Watch This, Listen up, Click Here and a nationally-recognized powerhouse in the advertising world, will speak at Randolph College Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. in Wimberly Recital Hall. The lecture, “Media at the Crossroads,” is free and open to the public.

Verklin is the CEO of Canoe Ventures, LLC, a joint venture of the six largest US cable television companies, which focuses on advanced advertising technologies. A veteran of major advertising agencies, Verklin is the former CEO of Aegis Media Americas, one of the world’s largest media buying companies. His book, Watch This, Listen up, Click Here is billed as a user’s manual for understanding the new media landscape.

Verkin will discuss new digital media and upcoming changes in advertising and marketing.
