College Holds Open Auditions for Fall Musical

Singing roles open for two men and six women.

LYNCHBURG – The Randolph College WildCat Theatre will hold open auditions for the musical, Splendora Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. in Thoresen Theatre (Leggett Building).

The musical, derived from the book by Peter Webb, with music by Stephen Hoffman and lyrics by Mark Campbell, will be directed by Geoff Kershner. Randy Speer will provide musical direction.

WildCat Theatre will perform Splendora Nov. 6-10.

Singing roles are open for two men and six women. The roles include: Timothy-John: strong Tenor; Brother Leggett: low tenor or high baritone; Jessica: Soprano, with a good upper range; Sue Ella: alto – this is a belt part; Zeda Earl, Maga Dell, Lucille, and Agnes: some flexibility – at least one and possibly two MUST be high sopranos.

Please come prepared to sing and read from the script. Prepared pieces not required.
