Its My Turn paricipants

Thank You!

I want to thank everyone who supported the very successful 2009 “It’s My Turn” campaign. The focus of this campaign was to generate financial support for our students. The fact that 314 donors from among students, faculty and staff stepped forward to contribute is a strong validation of the College’s commitment to student achievement and success. It also sends a strong message to our alumnae and other benefactors that we believe in our mission and are willing to stand up for that belief.

Walking around campus and seeing the bulletin board with the many names of those individuals being honored by your contributions, the posters that promoted the event, and the many yellow bracelets that shined as symbols of support made it evident that there is a thriving spirit of generosity in our community.

We had 184 students make gifts, including 56 from the class of 2009, 24 from the class of 2010, 60 from the class of 2011 and 44 from the class of 2012. This is a terrific show of support, particularly for the initial year of what we hope will become an annual tradition. Staff and faculty were generous as well and were represented by 130 donors.

Many thanks to all of you who made a gift, worked to plan and execute this campaign or volunteered your time to make this a success.

Sincerely,
John E. Klein, President

Has someone you've known ever …

  • made a great pass and assisted with the winning soccer goal?
  • donated to a dorm storm for a good cause?
  • texted some encouraging words to a classmate going through a rough time?
  • demonstrated their school spirit by painting the even post, carving a pumpkin for a senior, or attaching a poem to the poetry tree?

As members of a community like Randolph College, we support each other every day in a myriad of ways. Others have helped you get here to achieve your goals: teachers, parents, alumnae, friends, siblings, people who believe in you.

Now, it’s your turn.

Did you know…

  • tuition covers less than 60% of the cost of one year of education at Randolph College
  • financial support from alumnae, parents and friends helps offset tuition cost through student scholarships. Our total cost to educate a student at Randolph exceeds $31,000 per year. About half of that cost is subsidized by annual gifts from alumnae and friends of the College and income from the College’s endowment. Without the generosity of our donors, we could not offer students the substantial support they need to afford the high quality of education at Randolph.
  • there are several ways to give—cash, credit card, or a paw pass
  • when you make a gift, the funds are applied to student scholarships.  You may choose to support an odd or even student scholarship, if desired.
