Prior to first day of employment stop by Human Resources

  • Complete the federally required I-9 eligibility for employment in the United States document.  For the I-9, you will need to bring the necessary documentation: Valid passport or an alien registration card is acceptable with no other forms of identification necessary.  However if this is not an option you will need two of the following, drivers license/photo I.D. card/voters registration card/military card AND social security card or birth certificate. Human Resources (H.R.) will need to visibly see originals of these documents.
  • Complete federal and state withholding forms.
  • Complete direct deposit form .

On first day of employment

  • Stop by Human Resources located in the Business Office and complete I-9 and tax forms if you haven’t already done so.
  • Pick up a Randolph College Welcome Packet from Human Resources.
  • Stop by Campus Security, located in Main Hall to have your picture made and pick up your door access card and Building keys.  Note:  Must be in HR system in order to be in door access system.

During your first month of employment

  • Schedule a time with H.R. to go over benefits.  For full-time employees this should take approximately one hour.  For part-time employees this should take less time.  Reminder:  Health Insurance and Flex Spending Account Enrollment must be completed within 30 days of employment or you will have to wait until the annual open enrollment.
  • Review the new employee power point presentation located on the H.R. web site under training.  New Employee Orientation Presentation Getting to know Randolph College
  • Participate in a “Gold Key Tour” through the Admissions Department at ext. 8100.
  • Read the Staff Handbook and return the handbook acknowledgement to H.R.  This is for staff employees only.
