Randolph College seeks a full-time professional responsible for all phases of the athletic training and medical care services for the College’s 13-sport intercollegiate athletics program. Randolph College is a co-educational, residential, liberal arts institution committed to excellence that competes in the NCAA Division III and the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC).
This is a 12-month position that requires night and weekend hours and the ability to supervise a professional assistant staff and student assistants. The Head Athletic Trainer is responsible for a comprehensive program including practice and contest coverage, risk management and prevention, assessment, evaluation, acute care, and rehabilitation of injuries. Implementation of effective emergency plans, inventory and budget management and accurate injury documentation required.
Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s degree preferred) and three to five years experience in a collegiate environment is preferred. NATA/BOC, First Aid, AED and CPR certifications required; and Virginia state licensure eligible. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Athletics and desire the opportunity to teach an athletic training related course annually.

Description:

Competition for track and field will begin in 2013-14 on an eight lane, all-weather track completed in 2009 with venues for throwing events to be completed in the coming year.

Randolph College is accepting applications for a visiting instructor in music, a one-semester sabbatical replacement for Spring 2013. Duties include teaching Theory II, Theory IV, Basic Elements of Music (music theory for non-majors), and the first semester in the ear training sequence. There is also the option to teach a semester of music appreciation for additional compensation.

Description:
Randolph College’s Department of Physics and Department of Environmental Studies seek a one-year full time Visiting Professor in Environmental Science and Physics, beginning July 1, 2012. A Ph.D. in a relevant discipline (such as Earth or Environmental Science, Geology, Geophysics, or Physics) or interdisciplinary graduate program is required. Field experience with geophysical methods is desirable. We seek a natural scientist whose first priority is high-quality teaching in a competitive liberal arts college. The successful candidate will demonstrate ability and interest in interdisciplinary teaching and scholarship, enthusiasm for community involvement and will be expected to participate in senior programs in both departments. Responsibilities include teaching introductory and upper-level physics, geology, and environmental science courses and engaging undergraduate students in research.
