From Virginia Beach, VA (4 1/2 hours)

Take Route 460W to Lynchburg. Exit onto 29 North (Candler's Mountain Road). Travel 29 North toward Charlottesville. Exit at the 2nd Main Street exit, marked Downtown. Follow Main Street through downtown. After 5th Street, Main Street becomes Rivermont Avenue. Continue on Rivermont 2+ miles to the entrance of the College, on your right.

From Lexington, VA (1 hour)

Take Route 60 to Buena Vista. From Buena Vista, follow Route 501 South. Watch for a right turn onto a large bridge to stay on Route 501 South. At the intersection of Boonsboro Road and the Lynchburg Expressway, turn left to stay on Boonsboro Road. Boonsboro Road becomes Rivermont Avenue. Continue on Rivermont Avenue about 1 mile to the entrance of the College on the left.

From Roanoke, VA (1 hour)

Follow Rte. 460E. Exit onto 29N. Follow 29N for approximately 2 miles. As you pass River Ridge Mall get into the right lane. Immediately after the overpass, make a right turn onto the 501N ramp. Follow 501N to the Lakeside Drive (Rte. 221) intersection. (Be sure to be in the passing lane as you enter the intersection.) Go straight through the intersection past the Honda dealership on the left. At the first traffic light, just past the intersection, turn left to get onto the Lynchburg Expressway (501N). Follow the Expressway until you come to a traffic light. Go straight. (This is 501S Business, which is also Boonsboro Road.) Stay on Boonsboro Road, which becomes Rivermont Avenue, for approximately 3.5 miles. The College entrance will be on your left.

From Richmond, VA (2 1/4 hours)

Follow I-64W to 29S at Charlottesville. Take the first Lynchburg exit, marked 29 Business, to downtown. Cross the Bridge over the James River. At the traffic light, turn right onto Main Street, which becomes Rivermont Avenue. Proceed 2+ miles to the entrance of the College, on your right.

Or, for a more scenic route, follow 360 West for approximately 50 miles. Take Highway 307 (to the right) as a shortcut to reach Route 460 West. Stay on Route 460 West around Farmville and Appomattox. Exit onto 29 North (Candler's Mountain Road). Travel 29 North toward Charlottesville. Exit at the 2nd Main Street exit, marked Downtown. Follow Main Street through downtown. After 5th Street, Main Street becomes Rivermont Avenue. Continue on Rivermont 2+ miles to the entrance of the College, on your right.

From Charlotte, NC (4 hours)

Take Route I-85 North to Greensboro. Exit onto Route 29 North. Stay on Route 29 North past Danville, VA. Once in Lynchburg, get into the right lane as you pass River Ridge Mall. Immediately after the overpass, make a right turn onto the 501N ramp. Follow 501N to the Lakeside Drive (Rte. 221) intersection. (Be sure to be in the passing lane as you enter the intersection.) From Washington, D.C. (3 1/2 hours)

Follow Route I-66 West to Route 29 South near Gainesville. You will pass an earlier exit for Route 29, which you should not take; wait for the later exit. Continue on Route 29 South past Charlottesville. Take the first Lynchburg exit, marked 29 Business, to downtown. Cross the bridge over the James River. At the traffic light, turn right onto Main Street, which becomes Rivermont Avenue. Proceed 2+ miles to the entrance of the College, on your right.

Lynchburg Regional Airport

Lynchburg Regional Airport is located approximately 6 miles from downtown Lynchburg and is served by United Express, USAir Express and Atlantic Southeast Airlines. Airport limousine and taxi service to the College is available.

To reach the College by car from the airport, turn left out of airport onto 29N. As you pass River Ridge Mall get into the right lane. Campus Directions

The Dell is on the rear of the campus off of North Princeton Circle. In front of the Dell there is a large parking lot in the middle of which is a set of starts ascending a small hill. On the other side of this small berm is the Dell, and the stairs down to it.

Parking is available in the large parking lot (Bell Lot) or in any other Randolph College parking lot. Handicapped attendees should make an effort to arrive early so that their friends or family members can drive them to the bottom of the Dell and return the vehicle to the top of the hill. (There's only room for one-at-a-time drop-off at the bottom.)
