about the Greek Play tradition at Randolph College,
the current play, and Greek
drama. |
The Centennial Greek Play will be a performance of Alcestis, the play that began our tradition in 1909. As part of the international study seminar, Practical Wisdom: Philosophy and Drama in Greece, Randolph College students and alums will give a performance of Euripides' play (in Diane Arnson Svarlien's translation) on June 11, at 7 p.m., at the Skironio Museum, between Athens and Corinth.
Follow the progress of the course and the production at our Practical Wisdom blog.
The 2008 Randolph College Greek Play was Sophocles' Elektra,
translated by H.D.F. Kitto. More than 1200 people attended our performances in October 2008
