Jim Kwon gives talk at international mHealth conference.

Sophomore presents research on using cell phones to measure gait speed.

Jim Kwon '14 presented a talk at the annual mHealth Summit. The talk was entitled "Cellular phones accurately measure gait speed." and outlined the work he has done with Katrin Schenk, assistant professor of physics, to build algorithms that accurately predict gait speed from the accelerometry data collected by cell phones.

The 3rd annual mHealth Summit, the largest event of its kind, brings together leaders in government, the private sector, industry, academia, providers and not-for-profit organizations from across the mHealth ecosystem to advance collaboration in the use of wireless technology to improve health outcomes in the United States and abroad.
