
Classics majors choose from Oxford, Brown, University of Chicago, Michigan, North Carolina and Yale

We are very proud, this year, of the successful placement of our seniors and a recent alum in top flight graduate and other programs. We wish them all the best in their new courses of study (though we will miss them).
| Megan Barrett’s senior project is entitled “St. Paul and
the Formation of the Christian Community in Roman Corinth”. She has been
accepted at Yale Divinity School and University of Chicago’s Department of
Religious Studies. She has chosen to attend Yale.

| Samantha Henderson’s senior project is “What’s in a Name?
Onomastic Analysis of Gladiators in the Roman Empire”. Sam has been accepted for
study toward a master's degree in social sciences at the University of Chicago
and in historical archaeology at the University of Massachusetts in Boston. She
has chosen to attend UMass in the fall. Henderson received a Women in
Archaeology Internship at the Center for American Archaeology for the summer.

| Katt Janson’s senior project is “The Jurymen” (a play
about the death of Socrates written in the Greek play old lomedy style with
Aristophanes as a model). Katt has been accepted at Western Michigan
University’s Prague Summer Program for Photography and Creative Writing. She
received the John Woods Scholarship from Western Michigan and a RISE Award from Randolph College
to attend.

| Alumna Jenny Kreiger was accepted to doctoral programs in
classical archaeology at the University of North Carolina, Brown University and
the University of Michigan. She has chosen to attend Michigan next year.

| Junior Rhiannon Knol will be studying at Oxford this
summer in the Lincoln College International Summer School in Greek Paleography.
