Chad Beck Presents Research at Global Media Conference

Mexican Television Sales, Ratings System, and Citizenship  


Chad Beck, assistant Professor of communication studies, presented "TV Azteca's Sales Discourse: Manufacturing the Market, Demarcating Citizenship" at Global Fusion 2013, a global media conference held at Southern Illinois University, October 4-6. Beck's research analyzes how the language of Mexican television sales and the methods of the ratings system construct the market and delimit national belonging.
