Coulter to present at Southern Renaissance Conference

Paper will examine poetry of Ben Jonson.

William A. Coulter

William Coulter, Eichelbaum professor of English, will deliver a paper at the annual meeting of the Southeastern Renaissance Conference, at Duke University in November.

The paper examines how Ben Jonson’s poem “Epode” is enriched by echoes from two passages in Spenser’s Faerie Queene. Coulter’s paper was part of a panel on “The Poetics of Reinvention.”
