Communication Studies Professor and Student Present Research at Regional Conference

Jennifer Gauthier, an associate professor of communication studies, and Julianna Joyce '13, a communication studies major, presented papers on a Native American Film panel at the Mid-Atlantic Popular/American Culture Association Conference in October in Alexandria, Virginia.

Their research on the indigenous cinema of Canada's National Film Board was gathered during Randolph College's 2010 Summer Research Program. Julianna's paper, "First Nations Animation: Child's Play or a New Frontier?" is the result of an independent study carried out during the fall of 2010 with Gauthier.
