Paper discusses her archaelogical research at Carthage

Susan Stevens served as co-symposiarch, with Jonathan Conant of Brown University of the 2012 Spring Symposium, “Rome Re-Imagined: Byzantine and Early Islamic Africa 500-800” at Dumbarton Oaks in Washington DC April 27-29.

She also delivered a paper “A Byzantine Afterlife at Carthage” for discussion at the gathering of international scholars specializing in North Africa.

Dumbarton Oaks will publish the papers of the symposium as a book co-edited by Conant and Stevens in 2013.
