Essay by the Randolph English Professor will be part of a volume focused on Edith Wharton
Heidi Kunz, a Randolph English professor, has accepted an invitation from the Cambridge University Press to contribute a chapter to Edith Wharton in Context (2012) .
The Wharton volume will join essay collections on Jane Austen, Joseph Conrad, Henry James, Samuel Johnson, and James Joyce that already have been published in the prestigious Context series. Kunz's chapter, "Gender in the Jazz Age," will appear in the volume on F. Scott Fitzgerald also slated for publication in 2012.
Her essay for the Edith Wharton collection, "Contemporary Reviews 1877-1938 ," considers the responses of several readerships to the author's many works during the five decades of Wharton's publishing life.
