Yesem Kurt, assistant professor of mathematics, was published in Cryptologia, an international journal devoted to cryptology. Her article, "Deciphering an Undergraduate Cryptology Course," was included in the April 2010 issue.
Kurt's research interests include algebraic cryptography, public key cryptography, and non-commutative cryptography. She has taught a first-year seminar on "Cryptography: Secrecy, Privacy, Integrity" and teaches an independent study course "Cryptography with Mathematica."
