Wanda Fenimore, Instructor in Communication Studies, recently presented a paper entitled "NASCAR Hits the Big Screen: Images, Myths, and Stereotypes in
Days of Thunder, Talladega Nights: The Tale of Ricky Bobby, and
Cars" at the bienniel conference of the Southern American Studies Association. The paper is a semiotic analysis of the representations of southerners, NASCAR, and its fans in the movies.
